Privacy policy
How PapersZA handles optional email updates, local study-pack data, analytics, advertising and privacy rights under POPIA.
What we collect
You can browse and download without an account. If you voluntarily request exam updates, we collect your email address, optional grade, consent status, consent-policy version and the time of submission. We do not collect passwords, identity numbers or payment details.
Data kept on your device
Your study pack, memo watchlist, preferred exam session and email-prompt choice can be stored in your browser local storage. This data stays on that device unless a feature clearly says it is being submitted.
Why we use personal information
We use a consented email address only for PapersZA exam-paper and memo updates. You can withdraw consent at any time. We do not sell learner email addresses.
Service providers
Cloudflare hosts the website. If email capture is enabled, Google Firebase stores consent records. Google Analytics loads only after you select "Allow analytics". Your choice is stored on your device and declining does not limit the site. Advertising services will only be enabled with an appropriate notice and consent control.
Retention and security
We retain consent records only while they are needed for updates, compliance and suppression of unsubscribed addresses. Database rules deny public reading, editing and deletion of lead records. Access is limited to authorised operators.
Your rights
Under POPIA, you may ask what personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Use the contact page and include the email address concerned.
Analytics preference
You can allow or withdraw analytics consent here at any time.
